                                                                 The Blizzard of 1978

The Blizzard of 1978 was in the NorthEastern part of the United States and caused up to approximately 100 fatalities. This blizzard happened on Sunday February 5th of 1978. In this winter storm a lot of people lost power to their homes as snow was covering their house. There were drifts up to eight feet tall in peoples backyards. During this storm factories and schools were shutdown for nearly 2 weeks. The temperature was around 4 degrees but with the wind it was around -60.










                                                               Chicago Blizzard of 1967

In this blizzard of 1967 it struck the northeast side of Illinois and northwest side of Indiana. On January 26th it set the record of the most snow fallen in Chicago with 23 inches of snow. Even today that is still the record of the most snow fallen there.

                                                             









                                                               April Fool's Day Blizzard

This blizzard was a major storm in the northeastern part of the United State. On March 31st and April 1st the storm made rain, sleet, and snow. With all this it left hundreds and thousands of people without power. There was nearly three feet of snow on the ground. The impact that this had on the cities was that some states declared State of Emergencies because the road crews were not able to keep up with the snow falling.
